RNs: Essential for Healthcare, Cost-effective
Updated: Apr 28, 2018
On Friday, April 13, 2018, I spoke at the Hamilton Summit as a delegate from the public on the necessity for RNs, and how more RNs doesn't just mean much better healthcare for everyone, but also is far more cost-effective in the short and especially the long term. In preparation for my talk, I drew on this excellent resource from the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU): https://nursesunions.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/CFNU_NurseStaffing_MoreForLess_EN.pdf
The facts are indisputable. More RNs means quality care, better health for patients, fewer deaths, and fewer financial resources.
